    Coated Cutting Tools




    The coated cutting tools are a kind of advanced cutting tool with good cutting performance.

    The cutting performance and application of every coated cutting tool in cutting machining are

    outlined. They have been developed from single metal coated cutting tools to multi-constituent

    coated cutting tools. Then the coatings have been improved from the single layer to

    multilayer, and the nano-composite coatings are the development trend. So the

    nano-composite coated cutting tools will be the application hotspot in the future. The service

    life of coated cutting tools and their comprehensive mechanical property can be enhanced

    more effectively than their uncoated counterparts, thus the mechanical processing efficiency is

    improved largely.
