    If the MOC is SS 316 for buried pipe.
    Should i go for Cathodic protection , how can we select to go for cathodic protection ?
    If yes.then which type of cathodic protection to be selected ?????

    IMHO
    No, you don't need
    SS316 have good resistant to environment corrosion.Except fluid in your pipe has a Cl and temp above 60 degree C you must upgrade your material of pipe.
    Cathodic protection selection mostly depend on soil resistivity.more lower (<2000 ohm.CMIIW)soil resistivity more corrosive. For CP on soil usually using Zn(but not mandatory, depend on another aspect).
