    Could you please tell me if manufacturers of paints or coatings perform any specific temperature exposure tests on their products.
    In the development laboratory are products exposed to temperature extremes and what would be a typical sample size, I.E., would sample fit into a small temperature chamber.

    Thermal cycling of paint and coatings are routinly performed to determine degradation and failure mechanisms that may be experienced in service at different project sites. Test results will provide critical temperatures (low and high temperature limits) and specification(expectations) requirements for the paint/coating system.
