    For the past thirty years American companies, once world leaders in R&D, have been closing their excellent labs. The experienced personnel from those labs have scattered to the winds. These closings, carried out under the guise of saving money, actually wasted vast sums in the form of irreplaceable instututional memory. The people let go carried decades of experience with them... and they ended up in places like MATCO!
