    When I want to test a new formula of primer for corrosion resistance what should I do:
    1) applie the primer on a steel surface and put it on test
    2) applie the primer and a top coat and put it on test
    3) both.

    I will wait your advice.

    Mihaela - If you already know that a primer is compatible with a certain topcoat, you could start by just testing the primer on steel. The topcoat should then add to the corrosion resistance of the system. If you are interested in the corrosion resistance of both the primer and topcoat, then they must be tested together.

    When it is used in different environment, its properties will change.
